We're mixing things up for Wednesday evening programming for the rest of the school year!

Starting this week, Youth will meet from 5:30-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday evenings until May 15th. We know this might be slightly earlier than usual, but don't worry—we've got you covered!

Wednesday Nights

Wednesday Gatherings at Edmond First United Methodist Church will take a brief hiatus. Don't worry - everything will be back up and running in the fall! During this time, meals and adult bible study won't be offered, but choir rehearsals and youth gatherings will still be held as usual.

Youth Mission Trip Recap

Jelly Makers Needed!

Please help us make a difference in the lives of Cookson Hills Indigenous Center. They need our help to make 60 half-pint jars of homemade jelly for their fundraiser in May. Are you interested in making our visitors feel at home at Edmond First? Well, we've got some excellent news for you! The next round of greeters sign-ups has just opened, and we're looking for some friendly folks to help us out. We want to ensure our visitors feel welcomed and comfortable, so we encourage Sunday school classes and ministry groups to sign up for greeting this year. We've already got greeters lined up through April, but all months after are still available. So what do you say? Ready to spread some love and make a difference? Our popular holy week devotions will be back this year! Volunteers are needed in several areas, including donating light breakfast foods, setting up, serving, and cleaning up!

You're invited by the Love in Action Reconciling Ministry to a video presentation of "The RMN Story (Past, Present, and Future)" on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 6:00 pm in Wesley Hall. Edmond First United Methodist Church will hold an Ash Wednesday service on February 14, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. The service will take place in the Sanctuary, and all are welcome to attend. Wednesday Dinner will still begin at 5:00 P.M.

Our Senior Pastor, Scott Keneda, will be leaving FUMC at the end of June. The Staff Parish Relations Council (SPRC) will be collaborating with the District Superintendent Rev. Dr. Sam Powers to prepare for the new Senior Pastor in July. More details will be shared later. Please direct any questions or concerns to the SPRC committee and keep everyone in your prayers.

During the winter break, Team Tuesday provided meals for the UCO Women’s Basketball team. Coach Andrews sought a more affordable way to feed her team and Team Tuesday was happy to help.

Rev. Scott Keneda and Rev. Don Vaught will teach "Witness At The Cross" starting February 21st, 2024. The class will explore the impact of those who were at the cross and how their lives affect those who come to the cross today.

Edmond First Youth is hosting a fundraiser to support their favorite team. Donate soup cans or non-perishable items by Feb 11. Drop-off boxes are available outside the sanctuary from Feb 4 until the big game day. All proceeds go towards Project 66 and other Edmond agencies that help people in need.

The Edmond First United Methodist Church Youth Group is organizing a mission trip to St. Louis, MO, during Spring Break from March 16 to March 23, 2024. The group will stay at LifeWISE StL Ministries in St. Louis, MO. For more information, contact Elisha, Alan, and Reese Herndon.
