Mission work at Edmond FUMC is designed to provide an official channel whereby Christians, both lay and clergy, may offer their skills and talents for Christian service at home and around the world on short- or long-term assignments. If you would like to get involved in Missions at FUMC, please contact Pastor Trey at email@example.com, and he will help you get set up!
Boulevard Buddies is a core ministry that fulfills many needs at the Boulevard Academy, Edmond's alternative high school, including staff appreciation meals, rewarding students for good attendance and semester completion, clothing and food pantry, as well as special needs that arise within students' lives.
CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored Church World Service and organized by local congregations, raising funds and awareness to combat hunger at home and around the world. 25% of the money raised at our church's CROP Walk stays in Edmond to support the following charities: Hope Center, Breakfast on Blvd., Mobile Meals and Samaritan House. Edmond FUMC has been involved with CROP Walk for more than 30 years.
Disaster Response Ministry
Edmond FUMC Disaster Response Ministry responds to the needs after a natural or civil disaster by extending loving care to those affected.
Fruit for Backpacks
The Regional Food Bank Backpack program sends home a backpack of non-perishable meal items from school with the children involved each Friday for the weekend's meals. Edmond FUMC members, hosted by Church & Society, contribute to this program at Sunset Elementary by supplying 1-2 pieces of fruit per backpack to the school counselor every Friday to place in these backpacks.
Ice Angels and Project 66 Food Pantry
Project 66 is a non-profit, faith-based ministry providing food to families in need in Edmond, Arcadia and the surrounding communities. It is an affiliate of the Regional Food Bank. Edmond FUMC volunteers assist Project 66 to provide families with basic food to last for two weeks. The organization is entirely dependent on donations and volunteerism is essential, as the pantry has one part-time employee, funded by a grant from the City of Edmond.
Skyline Urban Ministry is a United Methodist ministry that reaches out in wonderful ways to impact the poor in the metro area. Food, clothing, counseling, worship, eye glasses, after school Jetsprograms, and more make up the Skyline outreach. Homeless are also cared for and treated with kindness and dignity.
Edmond FUMC is great about gathering needed items throughout the year for various drives, along with providing volunteers, meals and a variety of other needs by Skyline. Join us as we make a Christ difference in our partnership with Skyline Urban Ministries.

Volunteers in Mission Trips (VIM)
Edmond FUMC coordinates a large mission project once a year during the Fall for the congregation and community to participate in, alternating between work within and outside of the US.
In 2016, FUMC brought a group of 20 individuals on mission to Lydia Patterson Institute from October 20-24.
Each year, FUMC hosts a special event to help people find ways to serve, called Serve the Lord with Gladness. This event is usually held in April or May. To see the booklet of serving opportunities from last year’s event, click here.
