Youth Ministry

E1Youth moving forward is a ministry that helps students in grades 6-12 to understand the United Methodist denomination better. We provide interactive prayer sessions, bible studies, small group discussions, and leadership opportunities to empower the youth to act upon God’s call. Our goal is to inspire and equip young individuals to become leaders and positively impact their communities.

– Learn the teachings of Jesus Christ
– Build meaningful friendships
– Grow in faith through play, fellowship, & storytelling

Our mission is to help youth build a strong foundation of faith that will guide them throughout their lives.

Sunday School

Our young people are divided into two Sunday School Classes, each led by our passionate interns and dedicated adult volunteers. We explore a four-week topical curriculum designed to make the Bible relevant to everyday life. If you’d like to get involved with a Youth Sunday School Class, feel free to reach out to us at youth@fumcedmond.org.

Sunday Youth

  • It’s SUMMER! Our youth are not currently meeting on Sunday evenings but we are getting together at special Home Group events, camps, and are looking forward to YOUTH WEEK August 2nd – August 9th. Contact Aidan D’Amours at Aidan@fumcedmond.org for more information.

Worship on 66

  • Worship on 66 on the first Sunday of each month.

Tate monroe

Director of Community and Student Ministries
tate@fumcedmond.org

Meet Tate! He loves getting to know people, having great conversations, and creating spaces where everyone feels like they belong. Whether it’s around a campfire, listening to live music, exploring the outdoors, talking about big ideas over coffee, or laughing with students during a Wednesday night game, Tate believes some of the best moments happen when people simply spend time together.

Tate has cared for students and young adults in churches across Oklahoma for many years and is currently studying Religion and Philosophy at Oklahoma City University. He believes students grow best when they know they’re loved, know they belong, and are invited to follow Jesus together through friendship, worship, serving others, asking honest questions, and learning to love people the way Jesus did.

When he’s away from church, you’ll usually find him making music, enjoying art, hiking a trail, reading something that makes him think, or hanging out with his wife, Tiffany, and their Aussiedoodle, Huckleberry.

Whether you’ve grown up in church or you’re just checking it out for the first time, Tate can’t wait to meet you. There’s always a place for you here.
