Skyline Lenten Challenge Update - March 15

As you can see personal hygiene and food collections are accumulating. We’ll have our first pickup next Monday.
To put things in perspective you might find the following helpful.
   • Last year’s SUM expenses were $646,653.
       - 93% was spent on programs-(facility, utilities, staff, etc.)
      - 5% was spent on fundraising
      - 2% was spent on administration
The FRC (Food Resource Center) expenses are about $13,000 a month.
     • 8795 households were served by the FRC in 2016
        - 3635 households through February in 2017 compared to 2141 in 2016
Prime Timers breakfast & lunch were served to 12015 seniors in 2016.
     • 1753 meals through Feb. 2017 compared to 1687 in 2016
The Eye Clinic provided 1314 exams in 2016.
      • 234 exams through Feb. 2017 compared to 227 in 2016
The Clothing Closet has helped 3315 through February
       • 2017 compared to 1842 in 2016
In 2016 the SKYLINE LENTEN CHALLENGE provided:
       • 5671 pounds of food/hygiene items, 9% of total received by SUM
       • $19303 or 15% of non-apportioned funds received (helped buy the truck)
