The Search for FUMC History

The Archives Task Force has been filing historical church documents, photos and other artifacts and is now ready to receive additional historical information from church members who have archival items they wish to donate.  Room 115B has been secured and is housing our church’s history which is being organized into categories and placed in acid free folders and boxes.  A Master List organized by Series and Subseries with cross-references is being compiled for ultimate use by the congregation for reading, programs, and research.  

Donations to the Archives may be left in the specially marked box in office 201 entry area.  Please leave a note with your name on any items donated.  Always of interest are annual reports or other material which illustrate church related groups or activities.  Especially needed are historical items from the Choir, Bell Choir, Spirit Act and United Methodist Men.  Materials from other church groups will be requested in the future.  

Volunteers are needed who would enjoy interviewing senior church members who want to share past memories of church events.  Contact Kay Bost, Mina Feather, Jo Logan or Burchie Smith if you would like to work on this.
