We are a church of great opportunity. There are a number of Adult Ministries that thrive in our church and we would love for you to plug in to one of those.
Sunday School Classes
Sunday School classes are offered for adults each Sunday from 9:45-10:45 am. Although most of our classes have a wide variety of age levels, they do have a median age that fits into young, middle or senior adult categories. Click to read more about the various classes currently offered on Sundays.
Our Adult Sunday School Classes also take turns in volunteering for our Hospitality Ministry on Sunday mornings. This ministry consists of organizing coffee and donuts in the Christian Activity Center during the Sunday School hour.
Fun, fellowship and stimulating learning partnered with creative children's and youth programming offers a "bring the whole family" approach on Wednesday evenings with various Bible Study classes, September through May. Bible studies are also accompanied by a Wednesday Fellowship Dinner.
The Edmond FUMC Page-Turners Book Club meets the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm for refreshments and a lively discussion of the monthly book. It is open to all--old, young, men and women. This is a great way to get acquainted with fellow church members.
The United Methodist Women (UMW) is a group of women who are dedicated to serving God through missions, both locally and globally. We focus on ministries with women, children and youth, at home and around the world. The Edmond FUMC UMW contains five sub-groups, as listed below:

This group sponsors various church activities throughout the year, such as Annual Mystery Dinners, church-wide garage sales, ice cream socials, cook-outs, as well as being involved in both missions and ministries beyond our local church.
The UMM is open to men of all ages and a great place to meet others and to use your God-given gifts. We have a monthly prayer breakfast and devotional that is held on the second Saturday of the month at 8 am in the Christian Activity Center.

Senior Adult Ministry
The Edmond FUMC Senior Connection meets monthly on the fourth Friday, including evening dinners with a variety of entertainment. One-day trips are also planned each year. These activities welcome the entire community and include warm, enthusiastic fellowship among a covenant community which supports each other spiritually. Senior Connection is also dedicated to connecting with the youth ministries of the church, as well as the Wesley Foundation by contributing financially and through personal service.
Senior Connection also sponsors a Congregational Care Committee that makes monthly contact with shut-ins through personal visits, cards and phone calls. Our goal is to make each one feel a part of our church and let them know how much we care about them.
Edmond FUMC senior citizens also participate in weekly volleyball games in our Christian Activity Center Gym: Tuesdays 6:30-8:30 pm.
Spirit Act Drama Troupe
"Acting under the direction of God with Spirit"
Using the medium of drama and sometimes music, this drama troupe presents comedies and drama in worship and other times during the year. No professional experience is required, just a love for the theatrical arts. Backstage, sound and crew people are always needed. If you are interested in joining the Spirit Act Drama Troup or want more information, email them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Office Volunteers & Other Opportunities
Edmond FUMC utilizes volunteers in a number of ways throughout the church. From volunteers on our Bulk Mail Team to Receptionists and Sound Operators, we have an area for you. If you are interested in volunteering in one of these areas, please contact the church at 405-341-0107 or email@example.com.
