Adult Sunday School

Sunday school classes are offered for adults each Sunday from 9:45-10:45 am. Although most of our classes have a wide variety of age levels, they do have a median age that fits into young, middle or senior adult categories. Below is a list of our current Sunday School Classes for adults.

Bible Study

Main Building, Room 116B

The Bible Study Sunday School Class is a small class that studies the Bible, in depth, chapter-by-chapter, as well as different topics of interest, such as angels, the Disciples and the different versions of the Bible.

Bridge Builders

The Bridge Builders Sunday School Class is a group that connects life's challenges with Christian solutions.

Emmanuel

Main Building, Room 315

The Emmanuel Sunday School Class is a group that contains a wide range of ages, while studying various books of the Bible in detail with lively member discussions.

Faith Experience

Main Building, Room 316

The Faith Experience Sunday School Class is a multigenerational group of adults. The class focuses on spiritual growth as a person of faith with great discussions. They study contemporary and Bible issues. Class members are involved in many church activities, quarterly socials, and Fair Share Goals Mission projects. They try to intertwine both Biblical and contemporary issues to seek a better understanding of their faith.

Family Matters

Main Building, Room 314

The Family Matters Sunday School is a newly formed group of couples with children. This class was initially created being the parents of youth/children that were attending confirmation class and has now grown into their own Sunday school class.

Footsteps

Main Building, Room 111B

The Footsteps Sunday School Class is a discussion-based class with a wide age range (35-90) that covers various study topics. They have a lot of sharing time in class and use both various books and teachers throughout the year. The class has group parties and participates in seasonal studies, such as Lenten and Advent studies.

Genesis

Main Building, Room 313

The Genesis Sunday School Class is a friendly, warm and caring group, open to all ages, marked by humor, joy, patience and love. This group wants to grow in the Spirit and is willing to serve in all ways. Their study of many topics is respectful of your individual beliefs.

Good News

Main Building, Room 118B

The Good News Sunday School Class is a large class that enjoys a wide age range (39-90). Each class begins with a prayer and contains a lot of discussion, using various Methodist oriented books as a base. The group attends the Senior Connection monthly gathering and often meets for games and dining outings.

Inquirers

The Inquirers Sunday School Class is a diverse group of all ages seeking God's wisom through life's experiences using a variety of discussion-oriented materials. The class participates in various service and mission projects throughout the year.

Journey Class

Christian Activity Center, Room 207

The Journey Sunday School Class is a group that invites lively discussion, pushing past our basic theology, asking questions on where we stand and why. You do not need to be afraid to examine your faith, but must be willing to grapple with why you believe what you do.

Open Door

The Open Door Sunday School Class is a large class that is very welcoming. They use a variety of materials encouraging a joyful, dynamic and Christian expression of current events in non-traditional formats. The class enjoys several social activities throughout the year.

Pathfinders

The Pathfinders Sunday School Class is a group of adults with young children. Studies include biblically based materials, encouranging discussion throughout the group.

Sojourners

Main Building, Room 104B

The Sojourners Sunday School Class is a group that includes middle-age adults who enjoy a variety of discussion topics, including Bible study, current events and issues strengthening commitments as Christians. This class also participates in many social events and mission projects throughout the year.

The Cornerstone Sunday School Class is a group that includes parents who enjoy a variety of discussion topics, including Bible study, current events and issues regarding parenting as Christians. This class also participates in many social events and mission projects throughout the year.

Young Adults

The Young Adults Sunday School Class meets the first Thursday of the month at various locations. This group consists of young adults without children and participates in many social events and mission projects throughout the year.
