CHILDREN'S SESSIONS

6:30pm-8:30pm

WOW For Kids

Come one, come all, to church on Wednesday nights!  Kids, we will be having some fun and learning, starting with the Preschoolers in Room 127 who will share  story and a craft, the Jesus’ Kids (Kindergarten through 2nd grade) parent-led activities in Room 126, and the Disciples (3rd through 5th) in Room 210 for music/hand chimes. These   activities will last from 6:30 – 7:15, with a brief closing for all from 7:15 – 7:30. The movie room will be open from 7:30 – 8:30 for those whose parents are in adult classes and FPU, and child care is available in the nursery until 9 p.m.

We will begin a SIGN IN SHEET for all our WOW children.  Parents, please escort your children to their classes and sign them in and out. They will not be released to meet you downstairs. This is a security measure to make sure all our children are supervised at all times.

WOW, let’s get  together on Wednesday nights at church!

WOW on Wednesdays

Our WOW on Wednesday series will begin with a snack supper from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m.  We will then gather in the sanctuary for a Service of Holy Communion from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m.  Classes for all ages will be from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.

“Home Repair Made Easy”

Would you like to know more about what kinds of repairs you can make around your house?  Do you have tools lying around just waiting to be used, but you don’t have the foggiest idea what they’re for?  Do you know when to call a professional, or do you just wait until you have caused a bigger mess than you can clean up?

Our “Home Repair Made Easy” class continues on Wednesday evenings through April 9 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Don Baker is the teacher of this class, and draws upon his many years of expertise as an inspector for the City of Edmond, as well as his own personal abilities and talents.

This class is part of our WOW (Wonderful Opportunities on Wednesdays) series at the church.  The class will meet in the Christian Activity Center, and is preceded by a snack supper from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. as well as worship in the sanctuary from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m.

For more information, or to enroll, please call the church office (405-341-0107) or e-mail Rev. Paul Calkin at paul@fumcedmond.org

Youth to Lead Wednesday Worship

The youth of our congregation will lead our Wednesday evening worship on Wednesday, March 26, as we enjoy the energy and variety of ways in which we can worship God.  Our youth have been involved in a variety of activities on Wednesday evenings, and have been faithfully supportive of our Wednesday evening services.  We also want to be supportive of their efforts as well.

As a part of our worship, we will receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion.  The service is part of our WOW on Wednesdays series.  The worship will be from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the church’s sanctuary.  You are also invited to the snack supper at 6:00 p.m. and the classes for all ages afterward.
