“Epiphany Service"
This Service, which meets at 11:00am in the Christian Activity Center, is a Service which celebrates The Light that has come into the world. It is a non-traditional service celebrating the eternal goodness of God’s love and grace. Epiphany is defined as a moment when something that was previously hidden has become known. In the church, the season of Epiphany is also celebrated as a season of light, when “the true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.” (John 1:9 NRSV). Just as The Gospel of John reminds us, That Light has come and we celebrate it as Christians. The elements of This Service include both familiar as well as new opportunities to worship God. There are familiar elements such as a Children’s Moment and a Sermon. There are additional opportunities for prayer and reflection over the “familiar.” Also, new songs of the faith as well as updated arrangements of well-known hymns are part of this Worship experience. All of these elements of Worship are presented in a variety of ways, designed to help us as worshippers participate more fully.
We’d love to have you be a part of this
Service.
