Hey Parents!
I’m Thomas, and I’m the student ministries pastor here @ 1st umc edmond. I’ve been in ministry for a few years, and I can’t tell you just how much I love being able to work with your students! As much as students are my focus, families are my focus too because you have more impact and more time with them than I do. I’m their pastor, but you are their parent, so I see this as a partnership between us.
Your students are at such a pivotal point in their lives, as they are learning what they are good at, what they like, who they want to be, and what they might want to do with their lives. It’s a busy time, and I think having a direct connection to Jesus and the Church can change their lives in a very profound and good way.
I don’t take your trust in us lightly, and I fully believe in what we do. My heart is for students, they they know Jesus and be shaped by that relationship. Thanks for letting me work with your students. PLEASE let me know if there is anything specific that I can do to help you as well as we work together while your student is in our group.
